Alex Masu

I started photographing in 2009, though not continuously - there have been years with cameras and years without. What has lasted is wildlife, landscape and street.

I live much of the year in Africa and spend a good deal of it on safari; the continent is the spine of the work. Elsewhere I travel with a small Fujifilm X100 - a camera that makes composition harder and photography more enjoyable in roughly equal measure.

I hold no grand ambitions for any of this. Prints are available if something holds you; mostly, this site is a record of what I've been looking at. By profession I was an investment banker; these days, I invest in digital infrastructure on behalf of big tech which is to say the day job pays for the glass.

I am usually in Johannesburg or London, sometimes Nairobi, now and then the Bay Area. Enquiries, prints, collaborations, exhibitions - are welcome.
